Some Basic Information

I tend to play Female characters mainly, though I have no qualms about RPing various gender identities or orientations, different nationalities, or fantasy and Alien races. I have trouble getting into the male mindset, and only have one character I've really been able to do that successfully with. However, I already have an RP with Iago, and only break him out for people who know what they are getting themselves into and that I trust to stick around. He's my favorite character I've ever created, and is reserved for very special occasions or plot lines, although he fits into just about any genre or time.

I have an F-list, wich is basically a list of more explicit things that I am comfortable writing about. Though I will link it, I will stress that it is not an end all be all as far as RPing. I have had people in the past who refused to even plot with me because we didn't have anything in common on the favorites portion of it, despite us having nearly every genre, fandom, and character type in common. An F list should be used to let you know what your writing partner is comfortable with, NOT to determine weather or not you RP with them at all. if you're using it for that, than you're not RPing for the right reasons and I do not write for the purposes of sexual gratification.

Mori's Rule on Fandoms:

I don't play or play with cannon characters or cannon plots. I like to use the worlds, so we have a set of pre-established guidelines and know what is and isn't going to fly. It helps both people be on the same page.

For example. Starwars. Its possible to do a roleplay where there's no mention of Jedi, Sith, the force, or anything like that. Its a standard sci-fi roleplay but using the realm of starwars makes it possible to understand what sort of tech there is, how people travel ETC. that doesn't mean I wont roleplay two Jedi who are on the run after escaping order 66, but I tend to use the rule “does it work in starwars” as the basis for all my Sci-fi roleplay.

Mori and "Slice of Life" type RPs:

unless you've got an idea that realy piques my intrest, I get bored with this Genre waaaay too easily.

The Lovers Curse

So I found this the other day on face book, and started forming an idea for it in my head. its evolved a bit beyond the initial prompt, but, if someone is willing to take me up on the idea, that would be awesome. It would involve a man and a woman, where a Deity falls in love with the woman, but she finds her other half, and turns him down, not knowing he is a Deity. so he curses the two into an endless cycle of reincarnation, where they will find each other, fall in love, but never get their "happy ever after". They could have sex at certain points, she might end up pregnant. but they'd never get married, they'd never have a chance to raise children together.

one time they might be a prince/ess and a slave, or a very old man and his young hospice nurse. any number of possibilities. we could go through just about every genre that you or i could think of, Fantasy, leading into something a little more modern, steampunk, urban fantasy, Post-apocalyptic, futuristic, sci-fi.

It would essentially be a series of short stories that take place over centuries. they could even try to leave messages for their future selves, all in an effort to break the curse. the tale of their love could be a part of their world's mythology, picked up by their world's equivalent of Shakespeare, made into a modern movie... the story of the cursed lovers would be there and present, it would just be up to them to somehow figure out that they are the cursed pair. I would imagine that once they meet, fractures of memories would start coming back to them, to help them. it would be a very long RP, and if someone were willing to join me on this endeavor, that would be TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME.

I'm probably going to be picky about the person I pair up with for this story, more so than I am with other partners. I want someone who can equal me, writing wise, and contribute to the concept as an equal, instead of just following my lead.

The story of Hades and Persephone has always been a favorite of mine since I was very young, and though it's technically going against my normal rule of not using pre-existing characters, these two are a bit different. there's a bit of personality guidelines, but they are vague and open to interpretation.

Persephone is a teenage girl, and it would not surprise me if she had some conflict with her mother. it also strikes me that Demeter would have wanted to keep her daughter away from the others, especially once she started to become an attractive young woman. the other gods are prone to excess and frankly, sleeping with everything that moves.

My thought is this, something comes up where the gods are required to get together and discuss something, so Demeter has no choice but to bring her daughter to court, where she runs into Hades for the first time, giving him the chance to notice her and be intrigued or interested in her. it's because of that chance meeting that he decides he needs to have her for his own.

Hades and Persephone; A Retelling

What Lies Beneath

The ruins of a previously unknown ancient civilization have been found deep in the mountains of Europe. mostly underground, in large limestone caverns or buried beneath the ground, the evidence of this civilization was sparse, but with all the attention on it, and so many expeditions funded, people's knowledge has exploded over the past two decades.

Unbeknownst to them, the people of this small civilization were all wiped out within a few years, sacrificed for their leader's quest for immortality and power. it worked, but only partly, rendering him into a creature who must take life to survive. (as in sacrifices, NOT drinking blood thank you very much)

but he is determined to re-create the ritual that made him immortal. it was imperfect, and he only caught a glimpse of the knowledge that lay beyond. with the right vessel, at the right location, he just might be able to send another through the portal. but first he has to find his capital city once more, And one beautiful young archaeologist is on the right track.

The country of England has a secret. for the past twenty years, children have been going missing, all part of a series of tests being done on "enhanced" individuals. they've had some successes, and some failures, but the pinnacle of their success boils down to one girl.

for the past 10 years, Adelaide Octavia Evanson, a smart and bright child, has been kept prisoner below the streets of London. she hasn't seen the sun or moon in that entire time, kept on a restrictive, almost starvation diet and a plethora of various drugs that help to induce the visions she sees. she's been responsible for saving countless lives, but at the cost of her own. Tortured and distressed, the twenty year old woman has been clinging desperately to one specific hallucination, hoping it's real. she's managed to keep it from the scientists, her own personal piece of hope.

He's coming. He's going to destroy everything they've all worked so hard for. And he's going to finally set her free.

The Oracle of Parliament

Sister Where Art Thou

This Idea is a bit interesting. It combines a Wild West type setting with a post apocalyptic type one, a tiny bit reminiscent of fall out. In this survival of the fittest type environment, there are a series of massive cities, where the elite live in perfect peace safety in their massive walls and manicured gardens.  Their city states are impenetrable, leaving those outside to survive on the scraps and rabble. its a harsh world, filled with small towns and villages that fight for their survival, sometimes against one another, for the meager resources that exist beyond the walls of the cities.

thanks to the war that tore the world asunder,  and the weapons used, the world is polluted and radiated. some people have started developing minor gifts, abilities. they tend to be heartier, healthier, stronger, able to take more damage. these are the ones that survive outside the walls. and some people, in very rare cases, develop gifts that are even more unique. like the ability to draw infection and injury into themselves, or to charge the air around them with electrical energy. these people are feared when found out, and occasionally respected, if they handle themselves and the knowledge of their gifts with care.

But those in the cities have their own quirks. their skill with science and technology has boomed, expanding even beyond where they were at the start of the war. they've done this with the sacrifice of the lesser beings outside the walls, those undeserving of living in the cities. shielded from the radiation, they have not developed any mutations, but they make up for it with their tech.

they occasionally raid the towns beyond bringing back those that they consider to be good specimens for their experiments, or their gladiatorial games. the young, the attractive, the physically fit, they strike with out warning, kill everyone, and take those that they'd chosen away, leaving no evidence of their passing, so no one will know to come after them.

In the midst of all this is Kestrel, a doctor whose village was obliterated. not knowing what happened, she is searching for her sister Beatrix, who was not among the dead, along with 31 other young able bodied people.
