Ellie is a petite woman, standing at five foot one, she's lanky and small chested, though she keeps her breasts bound with bandages to appear more boyish. her faded red-orange hair is cropped short, to her chin, not even long enough to pull back in a ponytail. she has friendly, incredibly expressive blue eyes that make it difficult to mask her emotions, a small button nose and soft lips that form a crooked smile over her mildly crooked teeth. She has a smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks. her hands are rough and callused from working with wood, and she's stronger than she looks, thanks again to her profession.

She prefers pants to skirts, and not just because she poses as a boy most of the time. she prefers comfort and function to looking nice, as well as anything with an over abundance of pockets, which she keeps stuffed with the essentials.

Likes: Working with her hands, Comfortable clothing, Drinking, watching the older and definitely male apprentices work from behind

Dislikes: Skirts and Dresses, being yelled at, failing at a task, bathing (since she might be discovered), people using "girl" as an insult

Strengths: Strong willed and Independent, mostly optimistic, a hard worker, determined, friendly

Weaknesses: Stubborn, Skittish, doesn't make friends easily, prefers flight over fight, overly cautious

A Tale of Secrets, Earth and Sea

When Elsbeth was a young girl, she was often told the things that little girls must do. don't play in the mud, be seen and not heard, stop hiking up your skirt, stay out of the water. say please, thank you, sir, Ma'am. She wanted to build things, to explore, to create, to learn. but she was a girl, so her days were plagued with sewing, music, cooking, and other things she'd need to know for the fate that awaited her. the slavery called Marriage.

on the eve of her 15th birthday, she fled, taking her brother's clothes, knowing that she'd never make it as a woman. but perhaps if she returned sucessful, skilled, and well trained, people would accept the choices that she'd made. Fleeing to the coast, the petite woman, disguised as a boy, found an apprenticeship with a carptenter, pouring herself into her work. Determined to become everything that she knew she could be. even now, two years later, she's the best student her teacher has ever had. but he'd never trust her if he knew the truth of her origins.

of course the last thing she expected was to be taken by pirates as a cabin boy...
